Tray service is usually found at upscale formal events. A team of butlers move around the room offering crudités and canapés to guests. The butler will offer a cocktail napkin before presenting the selection of items on the tray. Guests should never turn down the napkin and then choose an item from the tray.

​When the butler stops and offers the selection:
v  Smile and say, thank you or No, thank you
v  You may ask what they’re serving
v  Remove the food using the instruments provided
v  Place the item on your napkin or plate
v  Thank the butler again
v  Enjoy your selection
v  Place used dishes on the trays provided or dispose of them
